Yakitori ao'chan by Suijin , located in Carmona, Cavite, is a Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy Japanese izakaya (pub) dishes, with a focus on yakitori (grilled chicken skewers).

Suijin, a restaurant that has long been popular with Japanese customers in the Carmona area, is now operating as Yakitori ao'chan by Suijin . It is located near Remington Plaza/Gov Drive in Carmona.
While their specialty is yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), they also offer a variety of snacks to go with drinks, fried foods, noodles, and rice dishes, making it a convenient place to go whether you want to have a drink or a full meal.
The menu had separate versions for Japanese and English.
When I go with other Japanese people, I can easily order using the Japanese menu, and when I go with Filipino friends or family, we can choose from the English menu, so I felt that they were very thoughtful in every detail.

When I actually went there, the restaurant was quite lively with customers. There were many Japanese customers, and it felt like I was in a Japanese izakaya (pub) even though I was overseas. It was calm yet lively, and it was the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a meal slowly while drinking beer.
Let's start with a beer.

The combination of a cold beer with pickled plums, edamame, potato salad, and cucumber-based snacks is excellent. The pickled plums, in particular, were memorable; their refreshing taste was perfect for the first drink.
The yakitori selection is extensive, including chicken thigh, chicken and green onion, meatballs, chicken tail, shiso chicken breast, and liver. You can order a little bit of everything, making it perfect for snacking while drinking. The grilling was just right, and it paired perfectly with beer.

The food came out quickly, and even during peak hours, we were able to eat at a good pace. Not having to wait long for the next dish while drinking is a big plus for an izakaya (Japanese pub).
I also recommend the fried food. The batter is crispy, and it offers a different kind of satisfaction compared to the yakitori. Eating yakitori, drinking beer, and then having some fried food in between – just following this sequence significantly increases your satisfaction.

What's even better is that you can choose your final dish. They have everything from noodles like soba and udon, to ochazuke (rice with tea), rice dishes, and even curry, so you can just have a light drink and call it a day, or you can have a full meal until the very end.
We drink alcohol, eat snacks, order yakitori, have some fried food in between, and finish off with noodles or rice.
It's wonderful to be able to enjoy this kind of experience in Cavite.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy drinks and food in the Cavite-Carmona area, similar to a Japanese izakaya, this is a place you should consider. It's a convenient spot for both those who want to enjoy yakitori with drinks and those who want to have a proper meal with family and friends.
